61070 - Vought F4U-1A Corsair

VOUGHT F4U-1A CORSAIR
With its 2,000hp engine and distinctive inverted gull wings, the F4U Corsair was an excellent fighter which served on the frontlines from WWII to the Korean War.

This kit depicts the F4U-1A variant which first entered service in the summer of 1943 and was the mount of many famous U.S. Navy and Marine Corps aces.

Characteristic features such as the taller seat, longer tailwheel, and improved canopy have all been accurately reproduced.

The wings may even be assembled in folded position.

Parts for 1,000lb bombs, drop tanks, and two pilot figures, as well as two marking options are included.

FAIREY SWORDFISH Mk.I
Floating Stringbag The Fairey Swordfish Mk.I was designed so that its main landing gear could be replaced with floats to convert it into a floatplane.

In this form, it was carried aboard Royal Navy warships such as battleships and cruisers to serve in the gunnery spotting role.

On April 13, 1940, one such Swordfish floatplane from the battleship HMS Warspite assisted in the sinking of seven German destroyers as well as the submarine U-64 during the Naval Battle of Narvik.

This kit accurately reproduces the Swordfish floatplane and includes parts for the beaching trolley.

Comes with two marking options.

61073 - Douglas A-1J Skyraider

DOUGLAS A-1J SKYRAIDER
Originally designed as a carrier-borne attack aircraft, the Skyraider eventually had a distinguished career which spanned over thirty years.

The A-1J variant which was introduced in 1956 equipped the U.S. Air Force, which employed it as an escort for search and rescue helicopters as well as in the normal ground attack role.

Distinctive features of the USAF version such as the various antennas on the fuselage have been accurately reproduced.

The kit includes an impressive arsenal of bombs, rocket pods, and gun pods with which to arm the model.

One pilot figure and two marking options are also included.
